“digital collages (2022)” features the culmination of an extensive research and archiving process. Tom of Finland drawings, vintage porn and body building magazines, comic books, original photographs and other digital ephemera commune in a symphony of imagery. Appropriated imagery is layered, manipulated, and abstracted leaving behind lyrical collages that bridge queer depictions of the past with the present experience of the artist. Camouflaging in nature, the subjects are often hidden and the collages reward the viewer the longer they examine the work.
